Mr. Herrera is a corporate lawyer with more than twenty years of experience in complex financial and corporate transactions.

He is the senior partner of the prominent Montevideo firm of Guyer & Regules, was Vice Minister of Economy and Finance in 1990/1 and negotiated the Brady Pan for Uruguay.

He and his firm advise many of the most important financial entities and multinationals doing business in Uruguay and have participated in the most relevant transactions in the country, including the recent and successful Uruguayan debt exchange of 2003.

He was professor of Commercial law and is the current Chairman of the Uruguay – USA Chamber of Commerce.
